Welcome to my Faith & Leadership Blog

Welcome! It is wonderful to have you visit. This project is designed to help us all become better leaders in our faith life, our workplaces, our communities, and our homes. I have devoted the last seven or so years to becoming better myself and through the Grace of the Holy Spirit, I have been able to engage in formal training in the Scriptures through the University of Notre Dame's McGrath Institute for Church Life and also write for The Catholic Moment, the newspaper of the Diocese of the Lafayette-in-Indiana.

I hope that you will find these blog posts useful as a resource.

My mission--to equip leaders in our faith with the tools that will help them be better preachers, teachers, evangelists, and faithful servants.

Developing effective, humble, and supportive leaders is something being done today across business, government, academia, and other organizations, but sadly rarely in our Churches. Having a formal, research-based training program could help. But the key is to have an approach that is truly grounded in the Word of God. The Sacred Scripture teaches us a lot about being a leader and bringing the Gospel message to ourselves, our parishes, and our communities.

By developing that sense of understanding and appreciation for the Biblical message of mission and leadership, we are better positioned to help our parishes confront the challenges we currently face and will face going forward, especially in the secular, self-driven society we live in. Leadership, based in the Gospel, is about living together in community and becoming closer to God—for our own salvation and the salvation of others.

Saint Bonaventure, pray for us!
